A drilling crew recently cracked through rock layers deep beneath Hawaii and accidentally became the first humans known to have drilled into magma—the melted form of rock that sometimes erupts to the surface as lava—in its natural environment, scientists announced this week.
“This is an unprecedented discovery,” said Bruce Marsh, a volcanologist from Johns Hopkins University in Maryland, who will be studying the find.
Normally, he said, volcanologists have to do “postmortem studies” of long-solidified magmas or study active lava during volcanic eruptions.
But this time they’d found magma in its natural environment—something Marsh described as nearly as exciting as a paleontologist finding a dinosaur frolicking on a remote island.
“This is my Jurassic Park,” he said at a meeting of the American Geophysical Union meeting in San Francisco.

Because oil floats on water, despite the massive heat (163 degrees Celsius) the goldfish simply stay away from the surface and all is well. They eat the crumbs of croquettes and other fried foods that fall to the bottom, and can live in there for 5-10 years** as they happily clean away, ignorant to the fact that certain death awaits any potential escapees.
This one is hidden away back in the kitchen where customers can’t even see it, but it could easily be made for display near the dining area for everyone to see. No word on whether they turn cannibal and devour their battered bretheren when they’re chucked in along with some potatoes.
Of course, some people like aquariums for ambiance, rather than deep-frying. I wouldn’t fry these though.
**Update** Just a little clarification on this. This fryer (from the WaterFryer company) is specially designed to allow the water inside without blowing up (sugei!). The location is not clear, however. As one commenter noted somewhere, it took the guy 10 years to create it. As for how long the fish can live in there, I was lazy in my translation and made a mistake. I suppose they could live in there anywhere from ten years to 10 seconds, depending on how foolish they are.

Apple's share price was pummeled on Wall Street on Wednesday after the company said its iconic chief executive Steve Jobs will not appear at the Macworld Expo next month.
The surprise announcement late Tuesday by the maker of the iPod, iPhone and Macintosh computers sparked speculation that Jobs may be ailing or that Apple does not have any new products to present at the annual event in San Francisco.
Apple's share price lost 6.57 percent in New York on Wednesday to close at 89.16 dollars.
Analyst Jud Pyle of Thestreet.com described the reaction as "classic speculation and fear."
"Whenever a cancellation like this occurs, there is a negative reaction in the stock, regardless of the reason," he wrote.
Another analyst, Douglas McIntyre, said Jobs, who has fought a bout against pancreatic cancer in the past, may simply have decided to skip MacwWorld because he has "nothing spectacular to debut."
"Since he never shows up in public without a new blockbuster product, he may be dodging the show because he has nothing to show there," McIntyre wrote on 247wallst.com.
Apple also announced that the upcoming MacWorld would be the company's final appearance at the trade show, which brings together Macintosh computer devotees, developers and innovators pitching Macintosh-related products.
Since the first Macworld was held in San Francisco in 1985, Jobs had used his keynotes to unveil world-captivating products such as the iPod.
Apple downplayed its decision to pull out of Macworld, saying that its popular real-world and online stores have made it easy to connect with fans without having to spend money on an expo.
In recent years Apple has stopped going to similar expos in New York, Tokyo and Paris.
Analysts said Apple's practice of using the Macworld stage to announce innovative products put pressure on the company to have hip, new things to launch every January.
That is an unsustainable position for a company to be in given product development and production cycles, said analyst Rob Enderle of Enderle Group in Silicon Valley. — AFP

How To Remove Koobface Automatically?
First lets discuss the automatic method. The facebook security page has posted about this but there is no genuine way of removing this malware. They have only asked people to change their password in order to protect user security.

- Go to 'Processes' tab under image name to End the "Koobface" processes.
Step 2 : Use Windows Task Manager to Remove Koobface Processes

- %WinDir%\system32\splm\kbdsapi.dll
To unregister "Koobface" DLL file, type in the exact directory path + "regsvr32 /u" + [DLL_NAME] (for example, :C\Spyware-folder\> regsvr32 /u Koobface.dll) and press the "Enter" button. A message will pop up that says you successfully unregistered the file.
